Meet Lindsey

I am a mental health therapist, but also the owner of Obsidian Behavioral Health! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Illinois and North Carolina, and a licensed independent social worker in clinical practice (LISW-CP) in South Carolina.  That means if you are in any of these three states - I can meet with you virtually. 

I am open-minded, nonjudgmental, and laid-back, helping people navigate life's messy, complicated, sometimes overwhelming, and meaningful moments with compassion, support, honesty, and a sense of humor when needed.  Everyone's journey in therapy is different, so I use different modalities while making your time in therapy feel like a safe, honest space to do the work (which isn't always easy!).  I also like to celebrate the wins and the good days, and laugh with you when it feels right.  I enjoy helping people build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move through life with a little more clarity and a little less chaos.  Sarcasm and swearing are always welcome in your safe space.

While the work may be uncomfortable and difficult at times, we will work together to make managing life and it’s stressors more manageable for you.
